“The doubt keeps you submitted to me. It is not by your might or strength but by my spirit. Doubt will keep you coming back to me for the answers and the way which I will lead you.

You cannot do this in your own strength. Believe that whatever you ask for in my name, according to my will is done for you, and it will be done. But come to ME. Do not try and solve these things yourself. For I am the God who sits in heaven. I see all. I know all. I will reveal to you deep and hidden mysteries that the wisest cannot search out.

Submit doubt and receive faith. Receive answers. Walk in my confidence knowing that I will accomplish my good pleasures in and through your life.”

James 1:

Perseverance must finish its work in you so that you must be mature and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask of God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; for he is double-minded; unstable in all his ways.

Doubt: Feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction; fear; be afraid; disbelief in a person or their word. To waiver or fluctuate in opinion; to hesitate; to be in suspense; to be in uncertainty; respecting the truth or fact to be undetermined.

Skepticism: unwillingness to believe without conclusive evidence.

Suspicion: Lack of faith in the truth; lack of faith in reality, fairness or reliability of someone or something.

I just want to say that every person mentioned in the bible who doubted themselves or God. For some, the doubt caused poor choices (think Adam and Eve). Others continued to persevere through doubt and push through to faith, even when circumstances in the natural didn’t align with the vision or promise given to them by God.

When we admit that we have doubt and submit it to God, he will fill us with faith. I envision this as having your hands filled full of one thing, unable to receive anything because you simply don’t have room to. If you’ll lay down doubt today and ask God to give you clarity and faith, he’ll do it.
