The Deceiver Has Become the Deceived

This word will resonate with a particular person or group of persons. The Lord has instructed me to share it. He started by showing me several chapters in Isaiah that I’ll leave here for you to read in the order they were given to me below. I strongly encourage you to study them for yourself.

Isaiah 31 | Isaiah 29 | Isaiah 30

Then, He highlighted the verses, beginning in Isaiah 30:9: “These are a rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. They say to the seers, “See no more visions!” and to the prophets, “Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. Leave this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel.” Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Israel says: “Because you have rejected this message, relied on oppression and depended on deceit, the sin will become great for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses suddenly in an instant. It will break in pieces like pottery, shattered so mercilessly that among its pieces not a fragment will be found for taking coals from a hearth or scooping water out of a well.”

I asked the Lord, “Lord, who is this for?” and he spoke, “Those who practice deceit in my name.” I asked, “Lord, do they do this knowingly or unknowingly?” Here is what he spoke:

“They justify their actions with their own reasoning, not the wisdom of God. Do not oppress the widow or the orphan. Do not exploit those who are desperate to earn a living for your own personal gains. You bring a blemish to my name, and I will not allow deceit and exploitation of those who I love.

Destruction will be carried out swiftly and you will know that is it by my hand and no other. I will draw you back to me, wayward child. I will allure you into the wilderness and purify you to be a vessel fit for use. Do not think is strange when you see these things happen for you will know it was by my hand. My hand that saves you from yourself.”

If this resonates with you, I pray that you will return to the Lord with all your heart, in weeping, fasting, and wailing. Read the chapters in Isaiah listed above, and the book of Hosea to understand what the Lord commanded Hosea, what his wife did, and more.

I asked the Lord for a vision of what he wanted to partner with this word. He spoke wasteland desert. For me personally, I have been through a wilderness season, and you can be confident that he is calling you into the desert to purify and refine you for his purposes. It is his great love that leads us to repentance.

I don’t know who this word is for. I can’t see or understand how this word applies to you where you are, but I want to leave you with Hosea 2:14f:

“Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt. In that day, declares the Lord, you will call me ‘my husband’; you will no longer call me, ‘my master.’ I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips; no longer will their names be invoked.”

I am praying for your relationship reconciliation with God. You can trust his guiding hand to know what’s best for you, even if you don’t want or don’t like it. Don’t harden your heart to him. It’s not going to feel good, but his mercy is in giving us what he knows we need and not what we deserve.
