In my quiet time yesterday, I was praying in the spirit, and I had this vision of water bubbling up from the very hard, very dry ground. It looked like what you would see when digging for an underwater well or a natural spring. I’ve had this vision before when praying in the spirit, but this time, the vision of the bubbling came from inside the center of my chest, exploding outward and away from my body, creating a ripple effect, with power and force. Not aggressive force, but the kind of force that could not be contained. As I was praying and seeing this in my mind, the Lord spoke this to me and I wrote it down. Today, he reminded me to go back and share it here. Perhaps it’s for you or someone you know.

“Who can stop the springs of living water? Who can quench what My Spirit will do in this hour? I will astound the hearts of men. I am pouring out My Spirit over a world that the enemy has tried to blind with darkness. My light breaks forth! I will reveal that which has been concealed and many hearts will come. Look for miracles in the mundane. Your senses have been dulled to excuse what I am doing, but My miracles abound. You will see more and more as the days approach. Whether you deny Me or follow Me, you will not be able to deny the miraculous events that I will cause to show the world. I am calling out to My Beloved– to the saved and the lost, ‘Look at Me!’ Look upon the One who loves you so that He gave His life for you! I have divine appointments set with the lame, the low, the crushed in spirit. Do not miss what I am doing! Begin to look for Me. My Spirit is working amidst the chaos. Choose faith over fear. It only takes a mustard seed to see a mountain moved. Hold onto hope and look for Me.”

The holy spirit is doing a last day’s work in this hour, beginning with the overflow of springs of living water inside of his people. His remnant has been purified in the furnace, and if you’ve been in the refining process to purify your faith this past season, you understand exactly what I mean. His people have denied themselves to first prioritize time in the secret place with God. The holy spirit is, in essence, bubbling up within the hearts of his remnant, and as I’m typing this, I am realizing that it’s because the living water that comes as an outpouring from the holy spirit will give way to the belief and baptism in the holy spirit of the new believers that the Lord is saving in this hour. Jesus said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” He is setting divine appointments for those who are hurting, those who are losing hope and those who are fading away.

To lend context, He spoke this when the Pharisees (could be compared to the self-righteous christians of our time) scoffed at Jesus’ going into fellowshipping in the “low places” with those who were considered the despised of his time: the tax collectors and sinners. Jesus isn’t looking for the one who thinks he’s checking all the boxes. He’s not looking for the one who thinks he’s better than others, or for the one that wouldn’t date go into regions where darkness has blanketed those who are desperate for the light of God to break through. He’s looking for the ones who are hurting, those who might have nothing else to believe in. Those who are desperate for a move and miracle. His word says he came to seek and save that which was lost, and he is getting his remnant ready for a move of the spirit that this world has never seen before.

Let’s get into this word from God a little more.

Who can stop the springs of living water?

I wanted to highlight some verses that I was led to that support the vision God gave me as he delivered this word.

John 14:14 ..”.but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

John 7:38 “..He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”

Jeremiah 17:13 “..O Lord, the hope of Israel,
All who forsake You will be put to shame.
Those who turn away on earth will be written down,
Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even the Lord.

Have you ever opened up a bottle of coke that was shaken up? It foams up and explodes, and there’s virtually no way you can screw the top back on because the force of the carbonation and limited space has created a pressure that can’t be contained. Such is the power of the holy spirit in this hour. It cannot be stopped. The Lord is saying he is pouring out his spirit that will reveal the light of his glory in a dark world!

I will reveal the concealed

One of my favorite books in the bible is Esther. Did you know that the name of God is never expressly mentioned in the book, but you see his hand moving throughout the chapters, orchestrating events for the deliverance of the Jews? Much like the enemy Haman, who has been plotting the destruction of God’s people, the devil has been plotting the destruction of God’s elect, BUT the Lord is exposing plots in this hour. Every whisper, every vile plan, everything meant to undermine and destroy his people, purposes, and plan is being uncovered. This includes all of us, meaning the people inside the body of Christ and the people outside of the church.

God says many hearts will come– I believe that to mean that many hearts will come to Jesus for the first time, and many hearts will come back in repentance. In Luke 12: 2, Jesus talks about the yeast of the Pharisees saying, “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.” God is looking to make hearts right again with him. I’ll just leave it at that, and encourage you to ask God to show you how this applies to you.

Miracles in the mundane

Mundane means:

  1. lacking interest or excitement; dull.
  2. of this earthly world rather than a heavenly or spiritual one.

Miracle means:

a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency. The bible uses miracles and signs similarly. Acts 2 notes says, I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

Are you ready to see miracles in this world? Because they are already happening, if you will just have eyes to see them! Are you looking for the signs that God said he would display in the sun, moon, and stars? I’m not speaking of astrology. I’m talking about what the world labels as climate change and excuses away. I’m talking about having the faith to believe that God still performs miraculous healings. Creator. Restorer. Salvation. These are words that describe facets of who God is. He cannot pour out his spirit and not do miracles, because the two are inherently attached! The issue is, will people recognize a miracle when they see one, or will their dull and even numb senses blind them to what God is actually doing???

Whether you believe in him or not, you won’t be able to excuse the increase in the intensity of miracles that he will do in the coming days. Praise God for his faithfulness to be who he is regardless of our sliding scale of faith, and regardless of those who will reject the miraculous.

The Lord is calling out to his Beloved

The Lord is calling out to those he loves. He paid the price for your sin so you could be restored to rightness with God. So that you could pursue a life of righteousness. If you’ve asked Jesus into your heart, you are saying he is Lord of your life. Not your new guy friend that gets you into heaven. That’s the equivalent of “knowing a guy” who can get you into your favorite club. This isn’t that. Professing Jesus as Lord demands that you make changes in your life. That you take the role of a servant who pursues his master’s will. I can’t say that this is something the modern-day church is getting right, and I fear there will be shock and gut wrenching sadness for many when Jesus comes back.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard the expression “a life for a life” but by inviting Jesus into your heart, you’re saying, “You died for me, I’ll live for you.” In this word, He’s saying he’s calling out to his loved ones- “the saved and the lost.” If he’s got to call out to the saved, it indicates that there are some who have “accepted” Jesus but they have not made him Lord. There are some who made a choice a long time ago, but they have turned away to another direction, become distracted, maybe even lost sight of eternity in pursuit of setting up their earthly heaven. Whatever the reason, it’s time to repent and realign our priorities with God’s.

I wanted to include a couple of verses for you to meditate on.

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person – though perhaps for a good person, one would dare even to die – but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

Orchestrating divine appointments

We are God’s change agents on the earth, and it’s imperative that we are in step with the holy spirit so that we can be vessels for his divine appointments. Remember for one moment, where you were when you were in the pit; when you were lost. Remember when you felt as though no one really saw you, and you just desperately wanted to be truly seen. Remember when you thought you were the only one going through that hard thing you survived.

God is telling us not to miss what He’s doing! we have to be in tune with what the holy spirit is saying so we can go where he tells us to go. It’s time to be about our Father’s business, and that means bringing good news to the afflicted. To bring a message of hope to the hopeless, to set those who are captive to sin free by introducing them to Jesus.

Will you be available? God says it only takes faith the size of a mustard seed. You might not feel equipped, but if you will make room for God to use you, and make time to go into his presence and word each day, you will be a mountain mover for those you are called to impact. Just have faith and meet with God so he can show you!
