This morning in my prayer time, I was asking God what he wanted to show me for you today.
Immediately, in prayer, I saw a vision of the world imploding from the inside. Crumbling into rubble. Until dirt and dust filled space. As the dust scattered, the air became brown and a shining light appeared in the middle of the brown. I heard the Lord say, “I will do a new thing. I am creating a new thing. For the old order of things is passed away and new things I declare.” I opened my bible and flipped directly to this passage that states:
“I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Then he said to me, ‘Write this down for these words are trustworthy and true.’ He said to me, ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty, I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all of this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, and the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolater and all the liars- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelation 21:1-8
To He Who Overcomes
The old things are passing away. This world in its former way is perishing, but as disciples of Jesus, we have this hope as an anchor for our souls. While the world speaks death and destruction, God is saying, “I AM MAKING ALL THINGS NEW.”
Lord, we wait with awe and anticipation for what you will do in this hour. Our hearts are surrendered fully to your will. To your new thing! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
